To all university alunmi out there, do you get calls from the alumni office EVERY MONTH to update your particulars?
This is so irritating!
Few hours back, the silly office called me AGAIN.
Lady: Can I speak to xxx?
Me: Yes.
Lady: Can I ask you a few questions? I need to update your particulars. Is your address still…?
Me: Yes yes. Do I really have to continue this phone call with you? Your office calls me every month to update my particulars. EVERY MONTH. And I always reply with the same details. Are you all trying to ask me until I shift house or change number?
Lady: Oh is it? Sorry. Maybe the person who contacted you previously only took down your details, but have yet to update into the system.
Me: But it’s every month. What’s wrong with your office?
Lady: But my database is empty. Anyway I called to ask if you have received our mailer in May. It’s about *donation program*…. blah blah blah. Are you interested?
Me: No. Bye.
This is plain ridiculous. Took down my details but yet to update into system? Database empty and yet she had my number? I don’t know if this is a real update, or if they are just using it as an opening to push for donations. She changed topic damn fast!
Sigh.
They better not contact me for the same purpose again. If they do, I am so going to give them a fake address and telephone number so that they will never be able to reach me again.
Never Update system is a coverup but to pester you to do a donation or otherwise partciple in some Alumni stuff is the real agenda from them hahahaha
