Life is so fragile.
It shouldn’t be that way.
I hardly get to the dark side because of my optimistic nature and charmed life. This morning, I woke up to a heavy email. I had texted my ex-colleague the night before in my usual attempt of catching up, and then in the most surprising reply, he told me that another ex-colleague that I was on good terms with was diagnosed with cancer.
It shouldn’t be that way.
She is one of the more health-conscious ladies that I have known. She has her meals with less oil, less salt and less sugar. She teaches me the importance of having fish and herbal soup in my diet. She neither smokes nor drinks. And what… now, she’s the one with cancer?
I’m not sure how to react. But that had surely jolted me out from my sleep.
Is cancer an issue of luck after all?
It shouldn’t be that way, isn’t it?
I hope you get well soon. Please do.
