Random Musing

I caught the shutterbug and finally bought a DSLR to play with. Read some articles/e-books on photography and I finally understand what is, as well as the impact of aperture, shutter speed and ISO on exposure. Put it in my terms, understanding your camera is akin understanding your own body. To sum it up, there’s always light at the end of the tunnel – if you know how to fiddle with it. Size of hole matters, so does tightness, and oh, too much noise is never good. Never over-expose, and neither should you under-expose.

I have always told myself and people around me to  “live life to the fullest”. For the past week, I have started to ponder more about this phrase, and I realise, it may not be so meaningful after all. I mean, so what if I live life to the fullest? I can push myself to do all the things I want and to fulfill all the dreams I have. I can do that for the next one year or even the rest of my life. However, if I know that I am going to die the very next day, will I die without regrets? NO. I don’t think I will. I wouldn’t want to die. Call it greed or whatever. I’m sure at that moment, I’ll go, “But I haven’t try this… and that…”

So I figure that perhaps, people without goals in their life will be able to leave this world with no regrets. After all, they don’t know what they want. It’s easier to depart. Isn’t it? In the same way, people without much friends in their life will have a easier time bidding goodbye during the funeral. No one would shed a tear anyway, and it’s just so easy to… let go.

Singapore’s Star Awards. Christopher Lee = Patrick Tse? Hahahahhaa. What nonsense? I actually like his look! And he’s the only male star that I find interesting and worthy to look at. Fann Wong’s hot, as usual. Adore Jeanette Aw’s confidence – though I must say, it is the first outfit that made me realise that she has erm… small breasts. It’s hot in Singapore anyway. Love how a number of female artists left their bras at home. Hmmm, please please please set the trend ya? Heh.

It’s the General Election period in Singapore. Political parties’ debates never fail to amuse me. This year is exceptionally entertaining, with the (unnecessary) attention on 2 young ladies. Anyway, just a casual note, do be careful of people who are in the marketing/advertising field. They sure know how to sell/market themselves in some way or another, whether they have the actual competences or not. To be fair, I have to say this as well: if you are in for the political run, but yet you don’t know how to present yourself and your thoughts adequately (even though you may have the capability), you are shooting yourself in the arms. See, I’m not taking sides here. At the end of the day, we should be assessing based on the perceived value of the whole team, isn’t it?

I would also give a gentle reminder that government are human-beings after all. They are NOT God. It’s only reasonable to give them room for faults, especially in a dynamic environment. It’s hard enough to manage a company, much less a country that has so many agendas and stakeholders to look after. That being said, it’s up to each of us to define the threshold and to access if they are willing to listen and improve. Point is, don’t get emotional. Vote after rational thinking. (Not taking a stand, at least on a public blog)

On an entirely different note…

Ok. Never been an Apple fan (since I’ve always been a Blackberry user),

BUT…

I’m so tempted to get ipad 2.

Not to forget about Rui-En too, she may seem aloof and icy. But she has boobs, which is always hidden.

    I heart Rui En.
